[oclug] Rogers domain oddness.

Has anyone else on slnt1, or elsewhere on Rogers experienced
strangeness with their hostname?
As of this morning, I had the following hostname/ip
CR1004964-A.slnt1.on.wave.home.com/24.112.84.17

As of this afternoon, my CR1004964-A does not resolve
(using what were authoritive name servers), and instead
24.112.84.17 resolves to pc-26492.on.rogers.wave.ca, 
although pc-26492 does not resolve to 24.112.84.17.

I phoned Rogers tech support, but I couldn't convince 
them there was a problem. The tech support pinged
my ip and did a traceroute and decided all was good 
("If there was a problem with the nameserver, you 
wouldn't have a connection at all"). Then I mentioned 
Linux, and she said they don't support it. Bah... 
I'm just wondering if I'm alone, or anyone else
has experiences similar strange occurences.
