I have another alternative which you might consider. The email applications that
I read email from keep their SMTP server setting to my ISP, in your case, keep
your SMTP server settings to videotron. This is how I setup outging. As for incoming,
I creted an account for each user on the server and had fetchmail collect the email.
Here is where it gets different. On most Linux distros, there will be installed a
IMAP server. I just turned it on and now the server is acting as an IMAP server.
Going back to your email applications, you will set them to read from IMAP instead of
POP3. The advantage of this is that you can keep all your mail and mail folder
on the IMAP server. This way you can read your email from any/all PCs in the house.
I was thinking of using the sendmail on the server to forward emails coming from the
email applications, but I didn't know how to setup sendmail to be an open relay for
