[oclug] Secure encrypted connection between windows and linux

Depends on exactly how transparent you want things.

Probably the easiest way is to make an ssh tunnel (man ssh, see -L -R 
options). Otherwise you're probably looking at a VPN or ipsec solution.
see www.freeswan.org for some pointers to VPN setup. You can also create
a secured IP connection by running ppp overtop of ssh.

Other possibilities.

X11 session, encrypted over ssh (windows software at www.xwin32.com)
VNC might be anotehr possibility www.uk.research.att.com/vnc/, tho
I suspect you'll have to tunnel it for encryption.
