Hi Dave,
I've been running KDE 2.2 since the CVS tree was tagged and I've had little
to no crashes.
I'm running Debian Sid now, and KDE seems to be more stable (and featureful)
than ever for me..
What distro are you running? I've heard that Mandrake 8.0's RPMs are a tad
unstable, but that the KDE 2.2 RPM's for Mandrake that are available on the
KDE ftp site are pretty good. That's all just hearsay from me, though.
Hmm.. Also, you may or may not see a difference if you do one or several of
the following:
1) Delete the old 2.1 config info (found in .kde/share/config somewhere..)
2) Disable Netscape plug-ins (just to test..)
3) Try creating a new user and run as that user, see if the problem is your
config or Konq.
4) If you're running Mosfet's Liquid, try upgrading to the newest version or
try a standard KDE theme. (Maybe a simple one..)
Those are all just guesses though. I haven't had to do much to get it
running well on my system..
Oh, and while I've got you, would you mind trying to go to
http://www.moses.cx with Konqueror? In 2.2 it takes _forever_ to start to
load the page for me. It's fine in 2.1 and Mozilla. I'm trying to figure
out if it's some bizarre network issue on my lan, or if it's something in
Konq.
Cheers,
Ben
