Hi Dave
I just downloaded the sources from ftp.xfree86.org, compiled and installed.
For me, it's a surefire way to get things going.
I have a dual PIII running a 2.4.7 SMP kernel with XFree86 4.1 for a Matrox
G400Max with daul monitors. I also have KDE 2.2beta1 which works fine with
a Dual head setup.
I general I compile things from source. I find it's the most reliable way
to get things that work.
