Not true, or at least, not true according to historical precidence.
Jihan by various Islamic sects and nations are currently focused on
destroying Isreal, or at least removing it from the Holy Land.
Holy Wars in terms of the First and Second Crusades were in fact
calls to arms by various Christian nations, originally under the
auspices of the Pope, to free the Holy Lands from the Infadels, both
the Mohammedians and the Jews, who at that time were sympathizers
against the Church with Moslems.
Certain internal cleansings that you refer to in your message is
usually called an inquisition. This happened during the Catholic
Church at various times over the centures to ensure the purity of the
faith (with rather unfortunate results), the Protestant rebels during
the so called "Reformation" that targetting mostly Catholics but were
also turned on the followers of other protestant denominations as
well.
Inquisitions are not necessarily religious alone. Various countries
have used inquisitions in an attempt the "cleans" themselves of
undesireables. For instance the U.S. in the 1950's to root out
communists, the Soviet Union and China to root out counter
revolutionaries and in France, England, Germany, Russia, Austria,
Italy and probably most other Euopean countries against the Jews in
particular (luck them).
