Convenience?

Canada is thousands of miles wide... I suppose we could move everyone into
the Maritimes or BC, stack 'em like cordwood into tiny apartments and
endure amazing heat from such close proximity to 30million souls, but I
doubt that will happen.

Convenience is a car in Britain. Neccessity is a car in NA. It takes
over 4.5hrs to drive from Ottawa to TO. It takes all day to get there by
bus, 45min to get there by commercial jet or two hrs by private plane. I
don't enjoy the drive to TO - it's long and boring along the 401. I'd
rather fly as it's far more convenient, but it's more cost effective to
drive. But, if I have a load of things I need to bring, I'll make the
drive.
