Can you provide some further details as to your issues with zope and version
and products you installed at the time as this is an area where zope excels
in from my understanding and use of the product.
Further with zope specific issues I would also post a similar but amended
post on the zope list (see http://www.zope.org) as this question is
frequently dealt with.
As far as an editing package that is as comprehensive as what you describe
with an OS license its the closest that I have been able to find but I agree
with you it requires some background knowledge and learning by the designer
or admin to set it up to meet all your requirements. Then your users will
have the environment they expect. Out of the box the answere remains no.
Now the one I have been struggling with for years is an MS Project
replacement.. After spending almost two years on putting bits and pieces
together based on OS licensed software I have given up and relegated to
running Project on wine. But that to is not as easy as it first appears due
to the various incompatibilities with versions out there. Any suggestions as
to a replacement would be well received.
Best
Chris
