[oclug] linuxconf and dhcp server

Hi, I'm running a server with RH 6.2. I recently set up a dhcp server on it
but now I want to stop running dhcpd. I set up chkconfig so that dhcp server
is "off" at all runlevels but when I reboot my dhcp server is running again.

/var/log messages reports
Apr 19 14:46:26 host26 linuxconf:     Executing: /usr/sbin/dhcpd eth1 2>&1

Two questions:
1. how do I stop linuxconf from starting the dhcp server (short of
uninstalling the dhcp rpm)?
2. why is linuxconf doing this? I've never used linuxconf on my RH server.
