[oclug] Linux Port-forwarding problem.

Thanks for the info. I don't think the filtering is the issue since I'm
sending mail TO Sympatico just fine, they just can't send it to ME. I could
be wrong of course. However, if I remove the NetWinder Linux router from the
equation, the system works flawlessly. I'm not using Bell as an ISP and my
Exchange uses DNS for outgoing SMTP rather than directing it to a single
host.
I'm not about to isolate the Exchange Server at the moment. Since there are
many people who still want to have Exchange exposed like this, I at least
have to get it to work and troubleshoot this problem before I deal with
adding a relay system. Most Exchange Servers I have are locked in place
rather well and all relaying is denied. Also, the NetWinder is really I/O
bandwidth limited and I don't think it would handle my volume of e-mail all
that well. As a router it works fine, but I get a 10x performance decree if
I turn on caching in this unit because of the I/O bottleneck.
Any other ideas as to what would be preventing me from getting e-mail?
