Arrghh.  Sorry bout that Bill & Tom.  Mental flatulence.

Anyway, I assume it should be reproducing the order of the input chain
correctly, so I don't see the ftp problem there, but the ordering does
look worrisome.  Of course I'm probably missing something again.
