    Now that's flame bait if I've ever seen it. ;-)

    As my every editing need has been satisfied since starting to use Vim, I
can't comment on Joe. I can comment on Emacs *shudder*, and why I stopped
using it, but the fact that I already have an OS should pretty much clear that
one up. 
    I personally love the interface, even though it takes a certain
sophistication in a user to truly appreciate it's raw efficiency. If you've
been brought up on windoze with notepad, then I guess Joe would give you the
warm fuzzies. When you're ready to graduate to the next level, let me know.
