Vi(m) is easy to hate until the inevitable learning curve is surmounted.
Then it suddenly becomes quite indispensible :)

Honestly, it took me between a half and a full year of plodding away
learning all the 'undocumented features' of the darned thing before I could
actually say, "Wow, now *this* is productivity!"

There are still a few vi(m) cheat sheets posted at
http://www.magma.ca/~raywood/vim/
for anyone who dares to take the plunge :)

Raymond
