This is an excellent article discussing the viability, sustainability and 
merits of open source as a business model. Long article but well worth the 
read.

It never sees to amaze me, that while NA remains the economic and investment 
focal point at this time most solid analysis, adoption, development and 
deployment  of OS based technologies remains off shore simply demostrating 
the international appeal of the subject matter. Perhaps we in NA are simply 
to slow to the party considering the level of adoption in Canada and US (in 
comparison to other countries)
