[oclug] Terminal Wierdness

Hey Gang,

All my terminal emulators are behaving a little strangely:
$ less something.txt
WARNING: terminal is not fully functional
something.txt  (press RETURN)

Pressing return lets less get on with it it a messy way.  man pages
produce the same complaint.  Different *terms behave the same way.  In a
nutshell, the *terms aren't clearing themselves properly when I page or
scroll.  Clue:  more does not do this.
