Hello,

I need help installing Red Hat 7 on my system. I'll try to include as
much information as possible.

PIII-933
on Primary IDE:
MASTER: Quantum 30 gig
SLAVE: Fujitsu 10 gig

on Secondary IDE:
MASTER: CD-ROM
Slave: CD/RW

My situation is this: I want to dedicate the 10 gig drive solely to Linux
and leave the 30 gig as it is, which is Win. To install Redhat I've
disabled the 30 gig drive and had the installation process partition and
format the 10 gig. I plan on bios booting to whatever drive and OS I want
to start.

The installation goes well, but at the final screen that asks me to reboot I
get an error that wraps across two lilnes that is truncated to:

Warning: /dev/hdb is no... I caught a glimpse of the rest of it before it
disappeared and I believe the rest says not on disk.

I believe the device in question is the 10 gig drive I am trying to install
to. When I reboot the system I get just the letter L in Lilo and it hangs
there.

I have tried manually and automatically partitioning with identical results.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Many thanks,

Steve
