Interfernce no, eavesdropping maybe. I use my wireless net outside on the patio without any problem, which means my neighbour can see it as well<g>. I use a WaveLan AccessPoint, this box allows you to restrict access to the lan based on the cards MAC address as well encypt the data. Alas the last time I checked they were sill pricey. I'm not sure if the O'Reilly solution supprts encrypted traffic or MAC authentication.
