I agree with this.
If you can learn C then you can pick up most other languages
especially the scripting ones which all seem to be loosely
based on C. C++ will also give you a nice OO programming
background and the Unix shell programming can help to
understand how to interact with the os.
I assume yacc/lex is some sort of prepossesor/lexical
analyzer right? I've never used it exactly before but have
been working with Bison lately so I can appreciate how
learning it before hand would've been useful... lol!
