My friend jan at magma.ca deals in used test equipment and computers (no PCs or Macs,
mostly older Sun and HP) buying stuff in 5-ton-truck lots and re-selling.

As of my last visit to his warehouse (two months back) he had burners at $100-odd
each. They were fairly flexible models, capable of doing PALs, FPGAs, ...

Generally he's an excellent source for test gear (mostly HP and Tektronic) provided
you don't need the latest and greatest. Same for computers -- e.g. his Suns range
from SPARC II (dirt cheap) to early Ultras.

Some things he almost never has. Lots of small SCSI drives, but any >= 2 gig
sell in systems. Some 10 base T hubs, but I've never seen 100 base T gear.

If you email him, don't expect a prompt reply. This is a spare-time thing for
him and his full-time job sometimes keeps him out of town for a week ot two
at a time.

If you do arrange something with him, you'll need transport. He's in Almonte.
Offer me a lift; I don't currently have a car and I want some toys.
