WHAT IS IT?
~~~~~~~~~~~
This is one of a series of Linux-related Technology Seminars to be
presented by the Ottawa Canada Linux Users Group (OCLUG) and
ExitCertified. ExitCertified has generously made their classroom space
available to OCLUG for these training sessions and other events.
WHAT IS THIS MONTH'S TOPIC?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

As software engineers, software developers, and IT professionals we are
frequently asked to present on a variety of complex topics to audiences
that can be either our technical peers and/or superiors, non-technical
people, project managers, or any combination thereof. A successful
presentation can sway an audience to your design, solution, approach, or
just communicate a technical concept to an audience. A successful
presentation can even help you get that new contract/job with a prospective
client or employer. For these reasons developing good presentation skills
is essential to a successful professional career and to career
advancement.

In this very energetic workshop, Harry Kingston will address the elements
that go into creating a successful presentation and then delivering the
presentation to the audience. Harry engages the audience to understand how
passion is an integral part of any presentation. This means -- "How does
one build a relationship of sincerity felt by an audience?" "What skills
are developed to make your next speech alive with vitality and purpose for
the audience?"

These skills will help make every presentation or speech come alive with
vitality.
