available to OCLUG, to be used for training sessions and other events.
WHAT IS THIS MONTH'S TOPIC?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Michael Bazdell will show you how to install a Linux distribution on the
standard x86 system. Michael will discuss partitioning the hard drive,
the basics on how a boot loader works, what servers/services you should
install, and what you should do after Linux has been installed, such as
quick configurations that will drive you mad.
This tutorial is targeted at people who are new to Linux and have
decided to install it, or just want to know what Linux actually is.
There are no prerequisites for this tutorial.
ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Michael Bazdell has thirteen years of progressive computer experience,
and two years dedicated to Linux. With knowledge in a little of
everything computers, his hope is to help spread on the up and coming

Currently working privately as a freelance computer nerd, he deals with
all the common installation and end user problems quite often. Hopefully
he'll even be able to teach some people a thing or two.
