[linux-novice] Recommendations for webmastering work tools

Hi,
      I am running Fedora 1 core ok now stable for a few months. For 
school work I may have to still be using a windows box for awhile. But 
my webmaster work and other computer use can be changed over. I tried a 
gui version of Gftp today and bookmarked my personal web site, my other 
personal site and two clients sites. I had been building web pages with 
composer since 3.0 or 4.6 of netscape. Is there something like this for 
Monzilla? Also what other tools can I be using? Gimp instead of 
photoshop? Gftp instead of Wsftp is ok. If on my Mac my brother is 
recommending dreamweaver as a tool I should begin to use what should I 
be using on my Linux box?

I build non profit web sites and don't charge much btw.

I do a number of sites as a volunteer.
